I Believe

  • All children deserve the right to a safe, inclusive, and equitable education in a jurisdiction where the needs of the students are the number one priority. Our children are our future.

  • Health and wellness of our students, teachers and school staff is essential to creating a safe and positive learning environment.

  • Authenticity, transparency, and compassion are key qualities for a trustee, whose governance role is to ensure the wishes of the community are reflected in all decision making.

  • Protecting and advocating for publicly funded Catholic Education in Alberta is important.

  • Accountability, communication, relationship skills and team-work are necessary to advocate on issues related to governance and education.

Working for you, Listening to you and Advocating for you.

In the Classroom

Children and their education come first.

Many of you know that I have been passionately advocating for the success of students for the past 34 years. This is the reason behind my commitment to every job, every committee, every foundation and all my volunteer service to the community.

A seat at the trustee table will make a firm difference towards helping the students and our school community. The position of Trustee, is an important role where my efforts and service, will work to achieve my passion and devotion to our children's success in life.

Champion for equal rights of all students, especially those with learning differences and unique needs.

Helping Hands

Our communities need to be heard.

Being rooted the community, and entrenched in our education system has opened the pathway to volunteer on many foundations and committees.

I am a strong advocate of special student projects with The Owen Hart Foundation, school liaison with The Educational Partnership Foundation, Coordinating Assistant for families in need with The Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Vice Chair School Council, School Fundraising Coordinator and Capital Campaign Committee for Ascension Parish.

There are 21 communities and 16 schools in Wards 3, 5 & Airdrie.  It is extremely important that a trustee works hard and becomes involved at the ground level to truly listen, understand and advocate for the students, community and school system's needs.

Families need to be heard - I want to bring the community to the table.

Catholic education in Alberta is a true blessing.

Growing up in a large, loving Italian Catholic family, my parents instilled a hard work ethic and the importance of Christian kindness. As a born and raised Calgarian and living in Ward 3, I attended Calgary Catholic schools as did our two daughters.  My husband and I were the first couple to be married at the Ascension Parish. We have been happily married for 32 years and care deeply about our parish, community, families and especially children.

Protecting and advocating for publicly funded Catholic Education in Alberta is paramount. Ensuring a quality faith based education that helps children to succeed academically, socially and spiritually.

Being part of GrACE (Grateful Advocates for Catholic Education), we as a community are called in gratitude, faith and action to ensure that our children and future generations continue to learn and grow in our Catholic schools.

Every child is a child of God.  All children should be loved and cherished.

I would be honoured to represent Wards 3, 5 & Airdrie
as School Trustee.

A lifetime of experience at many levels as a teacher with Calgary Catholic School Division, foundation and committee member in our ward and city, plus at the provincial level as the Alberta Director for Dyslexia Canada has given me the privilege of representing all of our children.

It has been an amazing journey preparing for this role for several years.  Through the support and information from ASBA - Alberta School Board Association, attending many school council and school board trustee meetings, as well as having current trustee mentorship - I fully understand the role and expectations of a School Trustee and Board. It would be an honour to represent you, the community, and all children.

Fresh eyes, and a lifetime of commitment to children, education, faith and community.
